INFORMATION CENTER

Sıkca Sorulan Sorular

Q1

What is the difference between XLPE cable and PVC cable?

XLPE insulation offers a higher operating temperature (90°C vs. 70°C) and higher current carrying capacity. For the same cross-section, an XLPE cable can carry more current. Telka Cable offers a wide range of products in both types.

Q2

Can XLPE cable be laid underground?

Yes. The YXV series can be laid underground. However, in areas with mechanical risks, armored XLPE cables such as YXZV or YXZ3V should be preferred.

Q3

Why is XLPE cable more expensive?

The production process for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is more complex compared to PVC, but its high current capacity and long service life make it a more economical solution for large projects.
